“It’s a great alternative to traditional preschool education! The development of the child’s personality is the primary purpose of the Montessori method. And the method makes it work correctly! “
“Our shy boy has turned into an active kid with a positive attitude towards the world around him!
It’s been almost a year since he entered the Montessori kindergarten, but Maxim changed his attitude towards the world. From a shy boy, he turned into an active, sociable and incredibly positive-minded child. Every day he goes to the kindergarten with pleasure, and in the evening, he tells everything about his day with such enthusiasm! We are happy with the Montessori kindergarten”.
“My son has become more confident and independent. I am thrilled that we have chosen this particular system of preschool education!”
“I like the Montessori system because it develops the ability to negotiate, gives planning skills, teaches how to make decisions and take responsibility for them. It is exactly what can be useful in today’s business. There are no such judgments in the school, and I liked it. The words such as “muddlehead” or “dirty” you can never hear there since everyone has his concept of purity or self-discipline. Someone is clean, but someone might not be.
Competent and attentive teachers accept all children as they are, even difficult ones. They sort out every conflict between children to the logical end so that each child can take out something valuable for himself. I had the feeling that teachers were doing much more to my daughter than me. I can say a lot about presenting the materials in the class and the manuals themselves – everything has been thought out in the smallest details. My daughter is 8.5 years old now, and she went to an ordinary Moscow school. She joined the team and studied very well.
I would like to advise parents who are going to follow the same path. Try to find the strength to behave the same way to your kid outside the kindergarten as the teachers do. Believe it or not, the results will not take long to come”.
“I would like to start with a Shalva Amonashvili’s quote: “ We are just lying to our children that we are preparing them for life. We prepare them for the Unified State Exam. And this is long far from life!”
Today Montessori Centers are the best environment for upbringing through education. Unfortunately, nowadays, all values have been lost in educational institutions, and the child spends most of the time in this institution…”
“A good technique that teaches the child discipline, independence, develops personal skills as well as the imagination, fantasy and memory. Thanks to the method, children improve confidence in their actions. In my opinion, Montessori pedagogy gives amazing results!”
“Certainly this is a method of bringing up a full-fledged, healthy personality. A personality that does not expect evaluations from other people knows what it wants and goes for it. Having been through almost eight years together with this method, I can say that it is a positive experience that I want to repeat with my future children.
It became essential for us to understand that both teachers and parents themselves should respect the child’s choice. What he wants to do, with whom and when. We took an essential postulate of the method to help the child do it himself. We were always ready to help, but only if the child asks for it. We wanted to allow him to explore the world independently and develop himself in his unique way.
The method brought changes to our family by changing our views on many things, too. For example, we realized that a child could be taught a lot through the presentation. Show how it should be done by yourself, and the child will absorb it. The Mon Ami kindergarten environment has become an example for us to create a similar environment at home.
There is something else that is very encouraging in the method – it is setting the boundaries. The child learns to respect other people’s boundaries, learns to wait, and begins to accept rejections calmly.
One of the essential things in any person’s life is to understand yourself and find your way. The Montessori method teaches us to turn to and hear ourselves, which is extremely important for our family. “
I want to thank all excellent team and the head of the Mon Ami children’s center Anastasia for the opportunity to observe the life of class 3-6 for three days and even go on to the Zoological Museum excursion with them.
A professionally, friendly and warm team shared their experience, answered my questions, gave feedback and, of course, inspired me a lot!
Even though I am a 0-3 Montessori teacher, these observations were beneficial for me. As a 4-year-old son, it was vital for me to learn and use speech forms in communication with children over 3. In my class, I used methods that helped me to correct and improve the relations of elder children in the group, which in the future, will help them to move to the group with elder kids. I highly recommend my colleagues to share their experience. It’s not only inspiring but also supportive.❤
Ah, “Mon Ami” – you are in my heart forever!
How can it be so beautiful? Also, in the most beautiful area of St. Petersburg! Everything is perfect:
✨ from the bookshelf at the entrance and the administrator’s smile to the thought out classes and well-coordinated teamwork.
✨ Thank you very much for opening not only the doors of the kindergarten, but also your hearts. This is a new and fantastic experience for me.
✨ As a mom, I was pleased with the outdoor excursions and a «life» corner with turtles and … axolotl! It is just a delight!
✨ As a beginner teacher, I just grasped everything! Having discovered an absorbing mind at the age of 30… possible?)
✨ As a florist, I was happy to see many indoor plants and vases with flowers in the classes.
Thanks to the whole team and the leader – it is so valuable to have an opportunity to observe, share experience, learn, be together with people who think the same way as you.
Thank you for showing not an ideal picture of the class but the group’s life and the team. I was amazed: everything works like a clockwork, and I saw how much each employee’s contribution is essential. Thanks for this experience! Thanks to everyone who spent these days with us and especially to Elena for her daily feedback.
